Ferry Baldur from Stykkishólmur to Brjánslækur

Ferry Baldur crosses the Breiðafjörður Bay between Stykkishólmur town on the Snæfellsnes Peninsula and Brjánlækur port in the north making a short stop at the tranquil Flatey Island in the summer time.
The ferry ride is approx. 2,5 hours long and shortens the route between south and mid-west of the country and the West Fjords considerably.
In winter there is one departure every day except Saturdays and in summer two departures daily.
The ferry is both for passengers and vehicles with space for 280 passengers and 49 regular cars (less if there are larger vehicles on the ferry). Booking a ride with the ferry in advance is recommended especially when traveling with a car as those spots tend to get fully booked on popular dates.

On board you will find a restaurant serving hot and cold dishes along with drinks and snacks. The Ferry also provides free WIFI plus a children's corner with TV and toys to make the time pass a bit faster for the little ones.
