Pick up car and The Greenhouse Town
Get ready for an exciting day of sightseeing. In the morning you will be picked up by your guide for the day. You will drive to the outskirts of Reykjavik towards Iceland´s scenic South Coast. First up is a visit to the greenhouse community at Hveragerði town.
Steam from natural vents rises into the air around this small charming town but this geothermal energy is used to heat up greenhouses in town.

Waterfalls and Volcanoes
From Hveragerði continue to the South coast passing two small towns, Hella and Hvolsvollur. Next up is a stop by the beautiful waterfall Seljalandfoss where you can walk behind the cascade. From Seljaladsfoss waterfall continue to the inspiring Skogafoss waterfall. Towering above you can see Eyjafjallajökull volcano where the 2010 eruption happened.

A Nature Reserve, Black Beaches and Rock Formations
Continue to Dyrholaey Nature Reserve, the southernmost part of Iceland. Here thousands of birds nest over the summer time and an absolute paradise for the birdwatcher. After a visit to the Nature reserve visit the black beach Reynisfjara where strangely formed basalt columns, cliffs and caves are to be found.


Now it´s time to head back to Reykjavik and you can just sit back and enjoy the ride. The guide will then drop you off at your accommodation in Reykjavik.
