Day 1. Arrival
An optional transfer from airport to your Reykjavík accommodation in a Wi-Fi connected bus. Spend rest of your day exploring capital of Iceland on your own.
Tonight, there will be an information meeting at your hotel. You‘ll meet your guide and travel companions and learn more about the tour.
Dinner is on your own. Reykjavik offers a multitude of restaurants and/or coffee-houses, making dinner a great way to get better acquainted with Iceland's capital.
Please note guaranteed early check-in is not included in the price. Most hotels begin check-in around 14:00 (2:00pm).

Day 2. Thingvellir National Park – Geysir – Gullfoss
Your guided tour starts in the capital, before heading for some of Iceland's most famous attractions. This action-packed day includes:

Ţingvellir National Park – a site of incredible geological and cultural interest, as the home of the world's first parliament and one of Iceland's biggest lakes,
Lake Ţingvallavatn
•
Gullfoss – the magnificent waterfall that is a must-see for any visitor
•
Geysir – home of hot springs, bubbling pools and geysers, including Strokkur which explodes into the air every few minutes
•
Hveragerđi – a pretty town located in an active geothermal area
• Dinner and an overnight stay in the
Hveragerđi area.
Day 3. Thjorsardalur Valley – Skogar – Dyrholaey – Vik
Your guided tour of Iceland continues with a journey through the attractions of South Iceland. The day's many highlights include:

Thjorsardalur valley and its ever-changing landscapes of birch woods, sandy lava fields, rivers, and waterfalls.
• Visit
Stong, where you can view a replica of a Viking-age longhouse that was buried by a volcanic eruption of Hekla.
•
Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss – two classic waterfalls
•
Dyrhólaey nature reserve. *Please note that Dyrholaey is closed during nesting season in spring, middle May until June 25th.

Reynisfjara black sand beach - with the thundering waves
•
Vík – a peaceful seaside village set in beautiful surroundings
• Dinner and an overnight stay in the
Vík area.
Day 4. Vatnajokull National Park – Jokulsarlon Glacial Lagoon – Hofn
Today you drive through the breath-taking landscape of the magnificent Vatnajökull glacier which provide incredible views. The highlights include:

Vatnajokull National Park – named after Europe’s largest glacier
•
The Skaftafell National Park – an area of great beauty and variety
•
Svinafellsjokull – one of the most beautiful glacial “tongues” that are slowly creeping down from Vatnajokull
•
Jökulsárlón glacial lagoon – one of Iceland's most famous treasures, where giant icebergs float in the freezing blue waters
•
Diamond Beach, named for the shrinking icebergs that settle on the black sands before drifting out to sea
•
Hofn - a fishing port in the shadow of Vatnajokull glacier. Hofn has a nice selection of restaurants and cafes. The local specialty is langoustines (Norway lobsters).

Hofn area. Dinner is on your own this evening.

Day 4: Amphibian Boat tour on the Glacier Lagoon – Sail among the drifting icebergs to see them from a different angle | Duration: 30 mins | Includes: Guided tour on amphibian boat
Day 5. Hofn – East Fjords – Egilsstadir
A day that takes you into East Iceland, through an ever changing landscape – including:

The Almannaskarđ pass – leading you from Höfn past incredible coastline views
•
The East Fjords – watch the landscape change with dramatic slopes and cliffs
• A visit the
Beljandi Microbrewery and sample some of the wonderful beer
•
Egilsstadir town - located near Iceland’s largest forest and a lake said to be home to a legendary (friendly) monster
• Dinner and an overnight stay in the
Egilsstađir area.
Day 6. Lake Mývatn Area
The Lake Mývatn area is rich in natural beauty and birdlife – there is so much to explore here, as your Icelandic adventure continues. Along the way you will experience:

Möđrudalsörćfi – a highland desert plateau
•
Dettifoss – famous as the most powerful waterfall in Europe
•
Námaskarđ pass – a memorable sight with its colourful scenery and bubbling mud pools

The Lake Mývatn area – one of Iceland's best loved natural attractions with a a rich and diverse birdlife, the
Skútustađir pseudo craters and
Grjotagja, a cave with underground hot springs

Dimmuborgir lava formations

Day 7. Lake Myvatn Area – Akureyri – Siglufjordur – Skagafjordur
On this stage of your Icelandic guided holiday, you head across the North, to Iceland's second biggest city and the Troll Peninsula. The day includes:
• A visit to the lovely
Gođafoss waterfall

Akureyri – known as 'the capital of the North', the town has charming buildings and a beautiful view of the
Eyjafjordur fjord

Siglufjordur – an enjoyable and friendly town for an evening stroll. The town has some of the finest timber buildings in the country that have been beautifully restored.

Herring-Era Museum in Siglufjordur
• Drive along majestic mountains and narrow passes to
Skagafjordur - a scenic region full of historical sites and folk tales.
• Dinner and an overnight stay in the
Northwest Iceland.
Day 8. Skagafjordur – Borgarnes
This day includes a region that has been getting international recognition for its lovely volcanic and wooded scenery and for its Viking history. You will visit hot springs area and waterfalls, The day includes:

Holtavorđuheiđi – the plateau that leads you to Borgarfjörđur
• Walk up to the top of
Grabrok crater for an amazing view
•
Deildartunguhver – a hot spring known as the most powerful in the world.
•
Hraunfossar waterfalls and
Barnafoss waterfall
• Dinner and an overnight stay in the
Borgarfjordur area.
Day 9. Borgarfjordur – Snaefellsjokull National Park – Reykjavik
The last day of your guided tour around Iceland includes the amazing variety of natural landscapes in
Snaefellsjokull National Park. The day includes:
• The park’s crown jewel is
Snaefellsjokull glacier itself - which covers a dormant volcano that last erupted in 250 AD

Kirkjufell - one of the most photographed mountains in Iceland
• The uniquely pebbled seascape of
Djupalonssandur beach
• The picturesque harbor village of
Arnarstapi - with magnificent basalt rocks in stacked formations
• Overnight stay in

Day 10. Farewell to the Land of Fire and Ice
Breakfast at your hotel. Please note that this might be a light breakfast if you are taking an early morning flight.
Transfer on your own to the international airport for your departure flight.
