Day 2. Reykjavík Sightseeing - Blue Lagoon - Reykjanes Peninsula

Your Icelandic experience really gets going today, with a packed schedule of sightseeing and experiences. The day includes:

• a guided sightseeing tour of Reykjavík
• a trip to the Reykjanes peninsula – a landscape of coastal villages, mountain scenery and hot springs
• a visit to the amazing Blue Lagoon, where you can relax in the famous blue geothermal waters and experience a phenomenon of nature
• the first of two overnight stays in an Icelandic cottage
• A Northern Lights adventure wouldn't be complete without heading out in search of Aurora Borealis – seeing the Northern Lights is dependent on the conditions, and your guide will give you a talk about this powerful natural event and the best chance of seeing them.

Day 3. The Stunning South Coast with optional glacier hike

A day of adventure along the south coast with its many treasures, including:

Eyjafjallajökull glacier – you will stop nearby for fantastic views
Seljalandsfoss waterfall – you can even climb behind the waterfall and watch it from the inside
Skógafoss waterfall – one of the best in Iceland
• A trip to a folk museum – you will learn about Iceland's culture and past
• An optional glacier hike – on Sólheimajökull Glacier Tongue - booked with the guide on Day 2. The special price for tour members is ISK 14.000 and is paid directly to the glacier hike company on day 3 - Icelandic Krona - cash only!
• The black beach and bird cliffs of Reynisfjara
• Another insight into the stunning power of the Northern Lights – and hopefully an opportunity to see them work their magic

Day 4. Icelandic Horses and the Golden Circle

Your final full day includes the most famous attractions in Iceland – the classic must-see destinations of the 'Golden Circle'. You will also get an insight into the very special character of Icelandic horses and a visit to a geothermal greenhouse.
The day's tour includes:

Geysir – the site of bubbling pools, hot springs and the geyser Strokkur, which erupts into the air every few minutes
Gullfoss – one of Iceland's most powerful and popular waterfalls
Ţingvellir National Park – a site of enormous cultural, natural and historical interest, where tectonic plates meet and the first parliament was established

Depending on conditions you may head out again in search of the Northern Lights.
An optional Northern Lights evening cruise can be booked for this day if the weather conditions are good.
