Next you will visit two astonishing waterfalls – Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss. Seljalandsfoss is unique, as you can take a walk behind the waterfall. Skógafoss is an impressive waterfall with two majestic glaciers towering above it, one of them is the infamous Eyjafjallajökull. Underneath the glacier is a volcano that erupted last 2010 and caused a huge disturbance in air traffic in both Europe and America. You will also visit the black beach at Reynisdrangar and a small, charming town of Vík. On the way to Kirkjubæjarklaustur town you will cross the Mýrdalssandur floodplains and Eldhraun – the most extensive lava field ever to flow on Earth in a historical time. Then you will visit the Fjaðrarárgljúfur Canyon and the Kirkjugólfið (The Church floor) – a protected natural monument.
