Itinerary

Day 1. Arrival - Reykjavík City



Following your arrival, our driver will meet you at the airport and drive you to your accommodation in Reykjavík. Reykjavík offers great variety of things to do and experience: consult your driver and enjoy the rest of your day in the city.

Day 2. Stunning Waterfalls - Black Beaches - Glaciers and Volcanoes


Your guide will pick you up in the morning and the adventure of the South Coast will begin. The first stop will be Hveragerði, a small town with steaming vents everywhere and where hot spring water is used for heating greenhouses. The next stops will be two magnificent waterfalls – Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss. Seljalandsfoss is unique waterfall, as you can take a walk behind it to see the water crash over the cliff’s edge above. Skógafoss is an impressive waterfall with two majestic glaciers towering above. You will continue your journey to the Dyrhólaey Headland, a natural reserve where many seabirds nest in the summer and also visit the spectacular black beach of Reynisdrangar where huge basalt columns seem to rise from the ocean to meet the sky. You will stop at Vík, which is charming and southernmost town in Iceland, before heading back to Selfoss area for overnight stay.

Day 3. Volcanic Crater - Sprouting Geysers - The Golden Waterfall - Þingvellir National Park



Today you will head inland and stop at the impressive Kerið Volcanic Crater and further inland to the Faxi Waterfall. You will continue to the famous Great Geysir and Strokkur Geysir, an active geyser that spouts boiling hot water 15 to 20 meters in the air every few minutes. Only short distance from Geyser geothermal area you will find the majestic Gullfoss waterfall, also called The Golden waterfall, which is one of the largest and most beautiful waterfalls in Iceland. Next you will head to Þingvellir National Park. The Mid-Atlantic ridge runs right through Þingvellir forming an impressive rift valley where Iceland is drifting apart at the rate of 2 cm per year. Þingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is where the Icelandic Parliament was established in 930. From the National Park you guide will drive you across Mosfellsheiði Heath back to Reykjavík.

Day 4. Reykjanes Peninsula - Lunar Landscapes - The Blue Lagoon



Once again your guide will pick you up and this time you will head to the volcanic lava fiels in Reykjanes Peninsula. The first stop is the world-famous Blue Lagoon, a geothermal seawater spa, set in a magical black lava field. It is rich in silica and blue-green algae, which gives the lagoon its reputed healing powers. Relaxing in-water massages are available, but you can also unwind in the saunas and steam baths or get a natural massage under the Blue Lagoon Waterfall. After the relaxation you will contine along the South Coast of Reykjanes Peninsula back to Reykjavík. On the way you will visit such nature wonders as Krýsuvík Geothermal Area and the stunning Lake Kleifarvatn.

Day 5. Departure


If you have scheduled an afternoon or evening flight, you will have time to catch any of the Reykjavík sites you might have missed. our driver will drive you from Reykjavík to the airport.

Where to eat during the tour?
In the small towns around Iceland you will find restaurants, bakeries and cafes where you can get something to eat. If you are going to the highlands we recommend purchasing something to take with you as there are very limited options for meals in the remote highland areas. Discuss with your guide about the places to stop for lunch or dinner.

Are there any hidden charges?
There are no hidden charges or fees you should be aware of. Note that meals other than breakfast are not included.

Do hotels and guesthouses offer Wi-Fi internet connection?
Most hotels and guesthouses in Iceland do provide free access to Wi-Fi internet. Some hotels and guesthouses do charge a small fee for access to the internet.

How do I book and what is the process?
