Day 1. Arrival and Reykjavík City
Following your arrival, our driver will meet you at the airport and drive you to your accommodation in Reykjavík. You can spend the rest of the day exploring the capital of Iceland. Consult your driver for the various things to do and see in Reykjavík.

Day 2. Þingvellir National Park - Geysers - The Golden Waterfall
Your personal guide will pick you up and you will start your Icelandic adventure by visiting the famous Golden Circle route. The first stop will be Þingvellir National park. Thingvellir is a place of great importance from a geological and historical perspective, as well as a park of exceptional natural beauty. From Thingvellir you will continue to the Geysir geothermal area. The area hosts a few geysers and hot springs, the most powerful of which (Strokkur) erupts every 8 minutes or so with such force that the boiling hot water jets 15 to 20 meters into the air. A little further you will find one of Iceland´s most impressive waterfalls – Gullfoss, also known as The Golden waterfall. When viewed in sunny weather, the mist layers many rainbows on top of one-another, giving the waterfalls its beautiful crown.

Day 3. Highland Adventure and Akureyri City
Today you will head inland to the highland track Kjölur taking you over the interior highlands between the massive ice fields of Hofsjökull and Langjökull glacier. Enjoy the stunning mountainous views on this route as you head to the colourful Kerlingarfjöll Mountains before continuing to the strange Hveravellir geothermal area. At Hveravellir you will find a natural hot spring where you can enjoy a relaxing bath in the surreal environment. The lunar like scenery will give you numerous photo opportunities. As you arrive back in lowlands, you will continue to the Akureyri city, which is second largest city in Iceland and is a cultural hub of the north.

Day 4. Paradise on Earth - Lake Mývatn and the Whale Watching Capital
As you leave Akureyri you will head for one of the most beautiful areas in Iceland – Lake Mývatn. Along the way you will stop at Goðafoss waterfall. This is a legendary waterfall, where an historical event took place in the year 1,000 when Icelanders converted to Christianity. The story goes that a so-called law speaker named Þorkell disposed of the pagan gods by throwing them into the waterfall—thus the name, Goðafoss, which means the "waterfall of the gods". You will continue your journey to explore the natural wonders of Lake Mývatn and surrounding area with numerous highlights in, such as: the Dimmuborgir lava field, the Námaskarð geothermal area, the Skútustaðagígar pseudo craters, the nature baths, and Krafla Volcano. You will end today´s journey at Húsavík town, which is known to be the whale watching capital of the world.

Day 5. Jökulsárgljúfur National Park - Ásbyrgi Canyon - Dettifoss Waterfall
You will start your day by visiting Hljóðaklettar, also known as Echo rocks, a valley of extraordinary rock formations, carved by the river Jökulsá á Fjöllum streaming from Vatnajökull Glacier. There are numerous hiking trails for exploring the many wonders of Jökulsárgljúfur National Park. The next visit will be Ásbyrgi Canyon a bizarre and spectacular, horseshoe-shaped canyon carved by the mighty Jökulsá á Fjöllum River. The area has numerous hiking trails that are worth to explore. You will then continue to the very rough, yet scenic Dettifoss Waterfall, which is the most powerful waterfall in Europe. After the sightseeing you will head back to Lake Mývatn area for an overnight stay.

Day 6. Volcanic Highlands
After the breakfast, once again you will head inland for another highland exploration through the volcanic areas. You can just sit back and enjoy they scenic views of Ódáðahraun and Herðubreiðarlindir springs since your driver guide takes care of the driving the highland trails, as the driving might be tricky in this area. You will continue to Dygjufjöll mountain range where and onwards through the mountain track until you reach the hiking path to the majestic Askja caldera and the explosion crater Víti and if you are feeling adventurous you can take a bath in the blue crater lake so take your swimsuits and towel with you. It is about a 30 minute easy walk to the caldera and crater and are definitely a must do. From Askja you will continue to Egilsstaðir town where you will spend the night in the area.

Day 7. Fjord Scenery of the East
Today you will enjoy the scenic views of the East Fjords, which are known for long narrow fjords with steep sided mountain peaks. You will have plenty of nice photo opportunities in the area. As you drive through the Almannaskarð mountain pass you will then reach town of Höfn. Höfn is a small fishing town situated at the foot of Vatnajökull glacier, the largest glacier in Europe. Overnight stay in the area.

Day 8. Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon and Skaftafell National Park
The first stop of today will be the well-known Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon, which is one of the major attractions in Iceland. Large blocks of ice constantly break off the edge of the glacier and drift about in the blue glacial waters of the lagoon at the foot of the glacier. Boat trips that take you sailing among the icebergs are popular during the summer. After the glacier lagoon you will continue to Skaftafell National Park – a tranquil paradise at the roots of Vatnajökull glacier. Your guide will show you the most popular sites of the park, one of them – Iceland´s most picteresque waterfall – Svartifoss. As you continue towards the town of Kirkjubæjarklaustur you will visit a protected natural monument Kirkjugólfið (The Church Floor) and Fjaðrárgljúfur Canyon. You will head to the charming town of Vík for an overnight stay.

Day 9. Volcanic Beaches - Stunning Waterfalls - Lunar Landscapes and Blue Lagoon
The first stop will be Reynisdrangar beach, where thousands of seabirds nest here in sea cliffs in the summer. You will then continue to see two breathtaking waterfalls Skógafoss and Seljalandsfoss. You can even take a walk behind the unique Seljalandsfoss waterfall. You will continue to Reykjanes peninsula and visit the mysterious Lake Kleifarvatn as well as the amazing Krýsuvík geothermal area. You will end your day by visiting the Blue Lagoon before you return back to Reykjavík. Soak in the Blue Lagoon´s mineral rich waters and relax completely after your unforgettable Iceland adventure vacation.
